Hello there!
My Background
I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #153187)* providing therapy for clients in Los Angeles at East Side Therapy under the supervision of Kate Behzadi, MA, LMFT #97100.
I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology: Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University and have worked in nonprofit settings with adults and teens who have experienced trauma, substance use, attachment wounds, as well as families and couples seeking to improve communication and rebuild connection. Most recently, I’ve worked with adolescents and adults at Center for Discovery, an eating disorder treatment center, supporting clients with a wide range of diagnoses including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, ARFID, Binge Eating Disorder, and OSFED. I also have experience providing affirming care to individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+.
Certifications:
Gottman Method Couples Therapy – Level 1 (2023)
My Approach
My approach to therapy is relational, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I believe meaningful healing happens in the context of a safe, trusting relationship. I aim to create a space where you feel seen, respected, and supported without judgment. Together, we explore how past experiences, attachment patterns, and relational dynamics have shaped the ways you relate to yourself, your body, and others.
I use an integrative approach tailored to each client’s needs, drawing from attachment-based and psychodynamic work while incorporating practical, evidence-based tools from CBT, DBT, and mindfulness when helpful. This allows us to both understand the deeper roots of your struggles and develop skills to navigate day-to-day challenges.
My work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, authenticity, and a little bit of humor. I move at your pace, honor your lived experience, and aim to create a space where big feelings are welcome and self-compassion can grow. Whether we’re addressing eating disorders, trauma, or relationship challenges, my goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself and more supported in your healing.
